She may be in "Land Down Under" alongside her fellow Kapamilya artists for "ASAP XP" in Australia, but there's definitely no stopping OPM's "Queen of Hugot" and most-streamed Filipina artist Moira Dela Torre from bringing hugot feels to our kababayans who watched the show live at the TikTok Entertainment Center in Sydney.
Moira began her set with her rendition of "Sundo" originally performed by OPM band Imago. Her cover was featured as one of the official soundtracks of the 2017 ABS-CBN Studios teleserye "The Good Son."
Instead of simply serenading the crowd from the stage, Moira thrilled everyone when she stepped offstage and had a spontaneous yet brief meet-and-greet session with some delighted audience members. While singing, she happily snapped selfies with them, exchanged hugs and "I love yous," and let everyone sing one of the choruses.
Moira then headed to the other side of the audience area and did the same as she sang her version of "Torete," originally performed by Moonstar88. Her cover was released in 2017 and became the official soundtrack of the Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto-starrer "Love You to the Stars and Back".
By the end of the song, Moira returned to the stage, with the one and only "Concert King" Martin Nievera assisting her as she made her way up the stairs. As she stepped onto the stage, she gleefully exclaimed, "Sydney, you sound so beautiful! Thank you so much!"
