While Gabo’s (Coco Martin) family is having breakfast, his worried friends suddenly arrive to check on him. They relay to the Magtibays that their neighbors whom they’ve tapped to keep watch on anything or anyone suspicious in Ginintuang Lupa are still on standby.
Tekla (Sue Ramirez) once again fumes with anger and seethes with jealousy over Sam/Gloria (Julia Montes), telling Gabo’s family that they shouldn’t have let Gloria seek refuge at their home. As they reiterate to her that the two are already married, Tekla vehemently reminds them that they’re just playing along with Gabo’s made-up story that he and Gloria are husband and wife.
Meanwhile, Gabo finally regains consciousness and asks Gloria what had happened. As she recounts to him what had transpired the night before, she can’t help herself from reprimanding Gabo for leaving their house in spite of danger and expressing her worry over the possible worst-case scenarios.
Seeing how worried Gloria is, Gabo holds her hand and apologizes to her for being hard-headed. Gabo promises her that he will not allow bad things to happen to him and that he is not dying yet because he cannot afford to leave her. He goes on to add that God might have allowed him to live for her before they lock into a sweet embrace.
As Gabo vows to protect her at all costs, Sam can’t help but think that she may already be going overboard with her acting. She quickly dismisses the thought, telling herself that she’s simply doing a good job because she needs them to continue believing in her act.
Left alone in the bedroom after Gabo steps out to join his family and friends for breakfast, Sam thinks about the possibility of being caught by the goons hunting her down. She realizes that she needs to be prepared so she won’t be caught off guard and can protect Gabo and his family as well.
