Over the years that she has been in the local entertainment scene, Yassi Pressman has not only captivated audiences with her mesmerizingly radiant beauty and persona, but also with her impressive versatility as an actress, singer, and dancer.
What many may not know but, just like many of the artists we've admired through the decades, she also started out young in showbiz. She began her career as a commercial model and child star in the early 2000s, eventually making her teleserye debut in the 2006 ABS-CBN primetime drama “Gulong ng Palad,” where she portrays the younger version of the female lead, Luisa (Kristine Hermosa).
She went on to work with other media companies over the next 10 years before making her surprising return to ABS-CBN in 2016. Although she had been in the industry for quite a long time then, her fans and avid Kapamilya viewers got to know Yassi on a deeper and more personal level via her remarkable stint in "Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7" as one of the celebrity housemates.
Dubbed as the "Dancefloor Dream Girl ng Antipolo," she proved to be one of the strongest and well-loved housemates of her batch as she managed to almost make it to the Big Night—if only she didn't give up her spot. Despite winning in the final challenge of Big Brother, Yassi made the shocking decision to pass her 4th Lucky Star spot on fellow celebrity housemate Elisse Joson due to her prior commitments in the outside world that she needed to fulfill.
And among those commitments she was referring to was "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano," through which she scored her breakthrough role as Alyana Arevalo-Dalisay, a budding TV reporter who eventually became the love interest and wife of the iconic titular character Ricardo "Cardo" Dalisay, portrayed by lead star Coco Martin. The role indeed turned her into a household name, as she became a mainstay of the long-running action-drama series for around five years and eight seasons—nearly half of her journey as a Kapamilya—until her character was killed off in mid-2021.
Four years later, Yassi returned to ABS-CBN in 2025 via the action-drama series "Roja," where she had a special participation as Ayen Padua. Despite her limited appearance, her character proved crucial to the unfolding of the story, as Ayen became instrumental in the pivotal turn of events involving lead characters Liam (Donny Pangilinan) and Olsen (Kyle Echarri). Ayen, in fact, was the reason why Liam and Olsen's friendship went on the rocks, as well as the trigger behind the hostage situation in La Playa Roja.
Now, Yassi takes on another intriguing role in “The Loyalty Game: Level Up” as Mara Lacaba, a character whose significance in the lives and relationship of couple Ana and Ben remains shrouded in mystery. What could her connection to them be?
