As various pairs of best friends gathered on set for a weekend filled with music and entertainment, “Everybody, Sing!” host Vice Ganda took the time to get to know the first batch of “repre-sing-tatives” selected to play the “Sing in the Blank” game.
While interviewing the chosen “song-pu” for the round, Vice had a delightful conversation with best friends Joy and Duday about the meaning of loyal friendship. Joy and Duday, who both have partners and children of their own, became emotional when melancholic music played in the background as they recalled the tough times they had gone through together.
Explaining why she considers Duday her closest friend, Joy shared that Duday was the only person who was there for her and understood her as she healed from a painful breakup. Their bond reminded Asia’s Unkabogable Superstar of her own friends, who never left her side despite the many challenges she faced in life.
In a hilarious story, Duday told the Unkabogable Host that there were moments when she and Joy had to sneak out to get away from their partners. They would secretly plan activities so they could spend some quality time alone together.
Jokingly, Duday suggested that their partners might have thought she and Joy were out seeing other men. She then quipped, “Hindi na kailangan ng [ibang] lalaki [pa], Meme. Alak lang sapat na.”
