So even if the red carpet for this year's State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has been removed to make it a toned-down affair, the actress still made sure to score some style points with her two all-white outfits by Michael Leyva, one of her go-to designers.
During the opening of the 20th Congress at the Senate of the Philippines where her husband, Francis Escudero, retained his position as Senate President, Evangelista donned a Barong top and weave Filipiniana skirt.
Leyva opted for "perfection in simplicity" as he designed Evangelista's terno for the SONA proper, as seen below:
