MANILA — Fili Hotel, the homegrown five-star brand of Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, is set to bring its Filipino luxury hospitality concept to Metro Manila with the opening of its Bridgetowne property in 2027.

The upcoming hotel was recently named Asia’s Leading New Luxury Hotel Development Project 2026 by the World Travel Awards, adding an international distinction to Robinsons Land Corp.’s plans to expand the Fili brand beyond its flagship property at NUSTAR Integrated Resort in Cebu.

The World Travel Awards is an annual international program that recognizes achievements across the global travel, tourism and hospitality industries.

Fili Hotel Bridgetowne won ahead of three other hotel development projects in its category. The recognition comes as Robinsons Land and its hospitality division continue to expand the homegrown brand, which takes its name from “Filipino” and incorporates local art, craftsmanship and elements of Philippine history into its design.

“Nearly five years ago, Robinsons Land took a bold step in creating Fili, the Philippines’ first homegrown five-star hotel brand developed by a Filipino real estate company,” RLC president and CEO Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio said in a statement.

“Today, its recognition by the World Travel Awards, alongside RHR’s second consecutive win as the Philippines’ Leading Hotel Group, reinforces our belief that Filipino talent and enterprise can create world-class luxury hospitality experiences,” she added.

Fili Hotel Bridgetowne will be the second Fili property and the first in Metro Manila. Its opening is expected to further establish the brand beyond its flagship property in Cebu.

The 2026 World Travel Awards also named Robinsons Hotels and Resorts the Philippines’ Leading Hotel Group for the second consecutive year.

RHR currently operates 27 owned hotel properties with more than 4,000 rooms across 10 brands, covering luxury, upscale, midscale and essential-value accommodations. Its portfolio extends to 20 locations across the Philippines, including Tagaytay, Cebu, General Santos, Davao, Iligan, Butuan, Bacolod, Iloilo, Dumaguete and Tacloban.

“This award is a great validation of all the hard work done by the phenomenal team of Robinsons Hotels and Resorts,” said Barun Jolly, RLC senior vice president and RHR business unit general manager.

At the World Travel Awards ceremony on September 27, Jolly attributed RHR’s recognition to its network of properties serving different markets and destinations, as well as its focus on guest service.

Other Philippine properties recognized at this year’s awards included Grand Summit Hotel General Santos, which was named the Philippines’ Leading City Hotel, and Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu, which won Philippines’ Leading Family Resort.
