Former Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi has parted ways with her boyfriend, British entrepreneur Jonathan Sterling, with the two now focused on "creating a healthy co-parenting environment" for their soon-to-be-born son.
Cortesi made the revelation in the finale of her reality docu-series "Celeste Unscripted," which aired on Tuesday, September 29.
"We've broken up right now. We just have to prioritize our baby. Again, I do believe this baby is a blessing," she said.
"For me, what's important is still having a good co-parenting relationship with Jonny," she stressed. "We'll just see in the future. It's (relationship) not something I want to think about now. I want to prioritize our baby."
The episode showed parts of Celeste's pregnancy journey, with the beauty queen saying doing in vitro fertilization "has been so draining" for her.
"I spent a lot of months being in a lot of medications, and it stopped, and I got pregnant right after. I think for the most part of our relationship, I was not balanced," she admitted. "I think that affected a lot the way I would behave, the way my mood would be."
When asked if she still loves Sterling, Cortesi replied "of course," before ending up in tears.
"It's important to, after everything, also think about the good things, not just the bad," she said. "I think everything that I wanted to say or he wanted to tell me, we said it in person between the two of us, and I also want to keep it that way."

In a separate interview which was also shown in the finale, Sterling revealed that it was Cortesi who decided to end their relationship.
The British entrepreneur was planning to propose to her during their trip to Amanpulo in Palawan, but things did not go as planned.
"Actually, she broke up with me. We were supposed to get engaged, the whole crew is there. Everybody's waiting on the beach and everything's timed around sunset for the best shots, so she can just have this picturesque proposal on the beach that every girl dreams of," he recalled.
"I don't even know what to say. And she was going around saying, if you can't handle me at my worst, he doesn't deserve me at my best," he went on. "I'm not perfect, you know. I made a lot of mistakes and she can say that once or twice, I broke up with her too easily, especially earlier on in the relationship. I guess my media-trained answer is it was an unsafe, unhealthy environment and I had to step away."

While Sterling said he still loves Cortesi and hoped things "didn't end this way," all he wants now is for their son to grow up healthy and happy.
"Of course, I want to keep him safe. I want to keep him well-provided for," he said.
