A mall in Quezon City recently introduced a new area where anyone can slow down, pick up a book, and even contribute some of their favorite reads.
Located at the third floor of Citywalk 2 in Eastwood City, Reader's Haven has a selection of titles from Biblio as well as child-sized rocking chairs. The latter was provided by S.I.L.Y.A., known for providing comfortable seating for senior citizens in public places.
The newly launched space aims to help children, and Filipinos in general, develop a natural and lasting interest in books. Here, anyone can pick a comfortable spot to browse, pick a title, and enjoy reading at their own pace.
Reader's Haven supports The Storytelling Project, an organization that supports literacy through storytelling sessions and reading activities for children, and the Books for A Cause donation initiative.
Visitors can also help extend access to books by handing over new or pre-loved titles in good condition.
