MANILA — Philippine Airlines is reopening nonstop flights between Manila and Saipan starting October 25.
Saipan, a US territory in the Pacific, is known for its beaches, diving and snorkeling sites, World War II historical landmarks, and nature parks.
"The restored route will strengthen tourism, family, and commercial ties between the Philippines and the Northern Mariana Islands," PAL said in a statement.
Passengers may book flights through PAL's website and mobile app, reservations hotline, and ticket offices, or through accredited travel agents.
The Northern Mariana Islands, of which Saipan is part, was hit by Super Typhoon Bavi (named Inday when it hit the Philippines) earlier this year.
