Fuel prices seen mixed next week; LPG prices to rise

MANILA – Pump prices of petroleum products are expected to move in different directions next week, with diesel prices seen to decline while gasoline and kerosene prices may increase.

MANILA – Pump prices of petroleum products are expected to move in different directions next week, with diesel prices seen to decline while gasoline and kerosene prices may increase.

Based on the four days of trading on the world market, oil prices may move by the following amounts:

Diesel - P1.00 to P1.50/L decrease

Gasoline - P1.50 to P2.00/L increase

Kerosene - P1.50 to P2.00/L increase


World market prices during the Sept. 28 to Oct. 2 trading period were mixed:

Diesel - P1.15/L decrease

Gasoline - P1.85/L increase

Kerosene - P1.87/L increase

Meanwhile, LPG distributor Regasco is set to implement an P18-per-kilogram increase, equivalent to P198 for a regular tank.

The LPG price hike will be implemented on a staggered basis from Oct. 3 to 17, 2026.
