MANILA — Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo was welcomed by Sandiganbayan justices on his homecoming at the anti-graft court on Monday.
Gesmundo was seen standing beside Sandiganbayan Presiding Justice Geraldine Econg and other associate justices during the morning flag ceremony at the anti-graft court.
He served as a Sandiganbayan associate justice from 2005 to 2017 before his appointment to the high court.
The Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) previously opened nominations and applications for the next chief justice ahead of Gesmundo’s retirement on November 6.
