DAVAO CITY — Vice President Sara Duterte on Monday said she is glad that her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, appeared before the International Criminal Court last week, adding she hopes the tribunal considers his age and health.
The former president appeared for a status conference at the ICC in the Hague last week, the first time that he attended proceedings in person.
"Masaya ako na nagkaroon ng status conference at finally nakita ng mga judges kung ano ang estado ni PRRD. Nakikita niyo na he’s of advanced age at sana ay mapag-usapan nila yung estado ng kalagayan ng kanyang kalusugan," Vice President Duterte said.

Duterte also declined to comment on her impeachment trial at the Senate, saying she may face contempt and does not want to add to the problems of her lawyers.
"Masyado nang maraming problema yung mga abugado ko," she said.
