MANILA — The National Bureau of Investigation has arrested a massage therapist who allegedly posed as a minor and threatened to expose a male client's supposed lewd activities to his wife.
The NBI Organized and Transnational Crime Division (OTCD) conducted an entrapment operation in Batasan, Quezon City, leading to the arrest of the suspect after she allegedly received P150,000 from the victim.
The operation stemmed from the victim’s complaint to the NBI of the alleged threat.
The complainant said the suspect initially demanded P30,000, followed by additional payments that eventually reached P100,000.
“Sabi niya titigil na siya. So nung humihingi ulit siya ng 100, sabi ko parang hindi na yata titigil.”
(She said she would stop. So when she asked for another P100,000, I figured she was not going to stop.)

He said the suspect also threatened to release their conversations on social media.
"Kasi ang panakot niya, sabi niya, sisikat ako sa Telegram, sisikat ako sa Facebook," the victim said.
(Her threat was that I would become 'famous' on Telegram and on Facebook.)
He said he initially became suspicious because the person demanding money was not the same person he had been communicating with.
The complainant said he later questioned why the massage therapist was the one receiving the money demanded from him.
The NBI entrapment operation eventually confirmed the massage therapist’s alleged involvement in the extortion scheme.
Authorities also recovered electronic devices from the suspect, where investigators allegedly found a fake account that was reportedly used to threaten and extort the victim.
During the arrest, the suspect was heard apologizing and asking for forgiveness.
The suspect is facing a complaint for robbery extortion, with an additional charge for alleged violation of the Cybercrime Prevention Act or Republic Act 10175, since information and communications technology was allegedly used in carrying out the extortion.
