HONOR 600S midrange budget phone. Handout
MANILA — HONOR officially launched its HONOR 600S smartphone in the Philippines on Thursday, placing high-capacity battery power and rugged durability at the core of its latest mid-range offering.
The brand said the HONOR 600S was developed as the most affordable member of HONOR’s 600 family of midrange phones. With the 600 5G getting a price tag of almost P30k, and the flagship-killing 600 Pro starting at almost P50k, HONOR said it decided that a more wallet-friendly option was in order. And so the HONOR 600S retails at P19,999 for the standard 8GB+256GB variant.
Like its pricier siblings, the 600S also gets the Image to Video AI feature that lets users select several photos and animate them into a short video.
But aside from the AI, the handset also incorporates lots of good hardware.
The 600S features a massive 8,100mAh battery, which is even beefier than the 7,000 mAh found on its more premium siblings. It is also capable of 45W fast charging, engineered to function in extreme environmental temperatures ranging from -30°C to 50°C. HONOR claims the battery maintains an operational lifespan of up to six years under standard laboratory conditions.

Designed for drop and liquid protection, the device incorporates cushioning architecture that earned an SGS 5-star rating for drop and crush resistance, withstanding impacts from heights of up to 2.5 meters. It carries IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust protection and high-pressure water exposure, alongside screen technology that maintains touch sensitivity when wet.
"Users want a device that can keep up with their work, content, entertainment, and everything in between without having to constantly worry about battery life or durability," said Stephen Cheng, Vice President of HONOR Philippines.
Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 platform, the smartphone is equipped with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, and runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. Hardware features include a 6.87-inch 120Hz display, dual high-volume speakers, a 50MP primary camera, and a physical AI button providing direct access to on-device tools like image-to-video generation.
But to get the price down, HONOR understandably had to cut out a few specs. The most noticeable is that, unlike the 600 5G with two cameras and the 600 Pro 5G with three, the 600S only gets a single 50 MP camera at the back plus an auxiliary lens. Instead of an AMOLED screen, the 600S also uses an LCD.
HONOR, however, is making the 600S a very good deal for those looking for a sub-20k phone. The brand is offering an online-exclusive 6GB+128GB variant priced at P15,999 for those who order from Oct. 1 to 9. Buyers during the promo period also get a Bluetooth speaker and an entry-level smartwatch, plus an entry into a P1 million shopping raffle.
