Angela Davocol/NCAA Philippines.MANILA — Justin Cargo impressed as Colegio de San Juan de Letran overwhelmed Emilio Aguinaldo College, 91-80, to stay unbeaten in NCAA Season 102 men’s basketball on Thursday at the FilOil Centre in San Juan.
The left-handed rookie fired 22 points on 4-of-5 shooting from long range as the Knights zoomed to their third straight win in Group B for their best start since NCAA Season 97 in early 2022.
Kevin Santos was a force inside with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and two steals, while Jimboy Estrada tallied 15 points, three rebounds, and three steals. Jonathan Manalili also paced the Knights with seven points, 13 assists, and four steals.
Santos and Estrada were also crucial, with the duo spearheading a 10-to-nothing Letran run to start the fourth period and give their squad a lead that grew to as much as 14.
MJ Raymundo and Jacob Shanoda, meanwhile, kept EAC afloat in the first 30 minutes of action with 15 points each, but the Generals lost their touch and absorbed their third straight loss.
