Sibol Identity V kept its Asian Games campaign alive after overcoming Indonesia, 2-1, on Tuesday to secure a spot in the quarterfinals at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
The Philippines entered its final Group A match with its quarterfinal hopes hanging in the balance after suffering consecutive 0-2 defeats to Thailand and Chinese Taipei.

With the knockout stage berth on the line, Sibol bounced back against Indonesia, recovering from a first-set deficit to take the series, 2-1, and claim the quarterfinal spot from the group.
The victory completed a contrasting group-stage campaign for the Philippines, which struggled against Thailand and Chinese Taipei before finding its rhythm against Indonesia.

Identity V at the Asian Games uses a 1v4 asymmetrical format, with one player taking the role of the Hunter against four Survivors. The competition featured eight teams, with the Philippines drawn into Group A alongside Thailand, Chinese Taipei and Indonesia.
Sibol will now shift its focus to the quarterfinals, where the Philippines will continue its bid for a podium finish in one of the 11 esports medal events at the 2026 Asian Games.
