Filipino boxer Flint Jara could not find his rhythm in the final of the men's bantamweight division in the 2025 Southeast Asian Games, eventually losing via unanimous decision against his Thai opponent.
All five judges at the Chulalongkorn University Sports Center scored the bout in favor of local boxer Thanarat Saengphet.
Jara is the third Filipino to settle for a silver medal in the SEA Games, leaving Olympian Eumir Marcial as the lone gold medal hope for the country.
Jara had few answers for Saengphet, who repeatedly landed the cleaner punches while making the Filipino miss.
