The loss puts an end to Alas Men's hopes of entering the quarterfinals, as the two losses—including another sweep loss against South Korea—proved costly, amid their struggles which were revealed by team captain Bryan Bagunas last night.

The top two scorers of the match came from the Philippines, with Bagunas listing 15 points on 12 attacks and three aces, while Leo Ordiales contributed 11 points on eight attacks, one block, and two aces.

The Philippines will play Chinese Taipei first before taking part in the classification round.
