Actress Dakota Johnson and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin have reportedly parted ways.
According to PEOPLE, while the pair had experienced an on-and-off romance over the years, a source revealed that "it feels final this time."
The two were first romantically linked in 2017 after being spotted together in Malibu.
In a 2024 interview with Bustle, Dakota opened up about being a stepmother to Chris's two children, Moses and Apple, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow.
"I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart," the actress remarked.
In the same interview, Dakota shared that she’s a big fan of watching Chris perform in concert. "I love watching him. I could watch him every day. I don’t know how to explain it. I feel like, I don’t know... I’m watching my most favorite being do his most favorite thing," she stated.
Dakota is set to headline the film Materialists, directed by Celine Song. The actress will star in the film alongside Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Dakota shared why the film resonated with her when it was offered to her.
"The complexities of all of the characters. The paradox. Everyone being confused about what the f— they're supposed to do with their hearts. And what's the right move? I found that very honest and I found it just so relatable," she relayed.
Meanwhile, Chris's band Coldplay is currently staging their Music of the Spheres World Tour.
The tour kicked off in Costa Rica in March 2022 and is set to conclude in England in September of this year.
The band staged the concert in the Philippines at the Philippine Arena in January 2024.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, Chris revealed that their future 12th studio album will be the band's last record.
"We are only going to do 12 proper albums and that’s real. Less is more," he said.
The singer further explained why they've decided to conclude Coldplay with 12 records sharing: "It's really important that we have that limit. First of all, there are only 12, well, there are only eight Harry Potters or seven Harry Potters. There are only 12 and a half Beatles albums. There’s about the same Bob Marley, so all of our heroes."
He went on: "And also having that limit means that the quality control is so high right now, and for a song to make it, it's almost impossible, which is great."
