Celebrity couple Iya Villania and Drew Arellano underwent a colonoscopy procedure together earlier this week. The Kapuso host shared glimpses of what happened after their procedure on her Instagram account.
According to Cleveland Clinic, a colonoscopy is an examination of the inside of the large intestine which is helpful for diagnosing possible diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease and colon cancer.

Iya shared how different they were after the procedure as she revealed she had no recollection of when she took the video of herself explaining what happened. The couple were given sedation as part of the procedure that they went through.
In the first clip, Drew calmly explained how things went for his colonoscopy and shared how they found a polyp during the procedure.
“They found one polyp which they took out. It’s pretty cool. I’m happy that I did it,” he shared.
The Kapuso host then added how it was his sister, who’s a doctor, that recommended for him to undergo the procedure as early as now. Most patients that get a colonoscopy according to Drew were 50 years old and above.
“The doctors and the nurses they’re gonna ask you why you’re doing [a] colonoscopy. But the reason why I did it was because it’s a screening and when you reach a certain age… but of course, alam mo naman kami ni misis parang we wanted to be proactive. It’s nice to have an executive check up. We want to do it yearly,” he explained.
Drew then shared how happy he was with their decision to have a colonoscopy.
“We’re just being proactive and we’re happy we're done with it. We can party more,” he added.
In the second clip, Iya tried to explain the procedure done to her. She revealed that this was the first time that she had undergone such procedure.
“I just got out of the recovery room from the procedure room. Wow, I’m so sleepy. My husband’s with me,” she shared.

She then shared that nothing was found in her check-up for which she was thankful.
“It’s like I had no feeling. I swear like seconds after my sedation, it was almost instantaneous. I’m just so glad that it’s done. Walang nakita thank you Lord. I’m like so bangag–– as in kakalabas ko lang,” she said.
“I don’t even feel that anything happened. Thank you Lord for getting me through that, my first colonoscopy,” she added.
Friends and fans of the couple exchanged laughter in the comment section as they noticed the difference from their post-procedure explanation.
Earlier this year, Drew shared that he underwent a vasectomy procedure to the surprise of many of his followers. They share five children–– Primo, Leon, Alana, Astro, and Anya Love.
