Kapamilya actor Carlo Aquino shared how his marriage with Kapamilya actress Charlie DIzon has changed him as a person. In an interview with Philippines’ King of Talk Boy Abunda on Fast Talk earlier this month, he expressed how happy and light his marriage has been.
Carlo and Charlie tied the knot back on June 9, 2024 in Silang, Cavite in ceremonies attended by several of their closest friends in the industry.

“Siguro yung mga decision ko, napapanindigan ko na. Mas napapanidigan ko, I’m man enough to [say] ito yung gusto ko sa buhay,” Carlo confidently shared.
When asked about how he is as a husband, the Third World Romance actor bared that he is “makulit” as his wife brings the “light” out.
“Ngayon, makulit ako. Kasi mas nilabas nga ni April (Charlie's real name) yung pagiging light ko,” he said.
Yung sobra kong na-appreciate ko sa kanya pwede akong magsabi sa kanya ng kahit ano ng walang violent reaction. Tatanggapin niya at iprprocess niya yun,” he added.
In the same interview, Carlo shared that he is also “very silly” when it comes to his daughter, Enola Mithi. She is the Kapamilya actor’s daughter with his former partner, Trina Candaza, and was born back in 2020.
“Makulit din and I’m very silly kasi gusto ko siyang maging komportable sa mga tao. Gusto kong hindi siya aloof kasi hindi ko alam paano sa mom niya so pag na sa akin, makulit ako, sinasabi ko lahat ng gusto ko para ganun din siya sa akin,” he narrated.

Carlo maintained that he wanted this disposition so that his daughter could be open to him in the future if she decides to have a love life. Though he is a "cool dad," the actor asserted that he is still strict.
“Lalo na kapag babae kasi at magkaboyfriend, magkacrush, gusto ko alam ko lahat. Gusto ko I’m a cool dad. Pero, strict pa rin ako,” he expressed.
The celebrity dad then shared how Charlie has also made a relationship with his daughter and added how the two have been bonding very well, with his daughter looking for her when they call each other.
“Na appreciate ko si April kasi nagrereach out siya talaga, nilalaro niya, binibigyan niya ng time si Mithi. Tsaka love na love siya pag may video call, siya yung unang hahanapin,” Carlo shared.
Carlo is starring in the 2026 film, A Special Memory, alongside Kapamilya actress Bela Padilla.
