Karen Davila took to social media to pen a heartfelt message for her son Lucas as he begins a new chapter as a college student in London.
Lucas is attending University College London (UCL), where he is studying economics.
"A NEW CHAPTER 📖 My dearest Lucas, you are deeply loved. Always carry this with you, no matter what room you are in," she wrote on her Instagram page.
The broadcaster also shared a reminder to her son as he navigates a new environment and embraces greater independence.
"As you walk into your new world, make your own choices, find your own people, stumble and get back up… may you always remain firm and grounded on the man you are meant to be," she stated.
The TV Patrol news anchor added: "Keep your eyes fixed on what is good. Be courageous and be kind. Remember, your dad, David and I will always be your forever home ❤️ Thank you Lord ✨."
In her post, Karen also shared snapshots of herself and her husband, DJ Sta. Ana, accompanying Lucas as he settled into his college dormitory.
The family also toured the UCL campus as Lucas prepared to begin his university journey.
Friends and fans online were quick to react to Karen's post.
"Congrats Lucas! You got a whole life ahead of you 🙌," Timoty Laude wrote.
"Huge congratulations to your son! UCL is an incredible achievement, and you must be so incredibly proud," one fan wrote.
Lucas graduated from high school at the International School of Manila back in May.
At the time, Karen also penned a heartfelt message for her son, reflecting on his growth and the person he had become.
"From the toddler that brought us so much joy, to the young man now ready to take on the world. Watching you grow, Lukie, has been such a gift," Karen posted as she marked Lucas's high school graduation in May.
"I am so proud of the human you have become. No matter how tall you grow or how far life takes you, you are always in my heart. Your mom for life ❤️," she added.
