Actress Glaiza De Castro is letting go of her holiday home in Baler, Aurora, eight years after purchasing the property.
In a recent social media post, Glaiza shared that she and her family decided to sell the property as they enter a new chapter in their lives.
“Some places are more than just a property. They become part of the family. ❤️ In 2018, I bought a holiday home in Baler, Aurora. At the time, it was simply a place where we could escape, slow down, and spend time together,” the actress wrote. “But over the years, it became so much more.”
Glaiza noted how her once holiday home became a place of celebration and a place to find peace at trying times during the pandemic.
“It became the place where our family gathered for birthdays, celebrations, long weekends, and those ordinary days that somehow became some of our favorite memories. Then the pandemic came,” she shared.
“Like many of us, our lives changed. We found ourselves spending more time in Baler and during those quiet months, I discovered a deeper appreciation for the province—the slower pace, the beautiful surroundings, the warmth of the community, and the simple joy of being together.”
What started as a holiday home eventually became a family project, with Glaiza and her loved ones making improvements before opening the property to guests as a resort house.
“Little by little, we poured our time, ideas and love into developing it. We made improvements, created spaces where people could relax and reconnect and eventually opened our home to guests through Airbnb,” she recalled.
“It was incredibly special to see other families and friends create their own memories there.”
The actress stated that it is the time for her to pass on the memorable moments she created in their property to a new owner.
“Now, life is changing again. Our priorities have shifted and new plans for the future are taking shape. And after much thought, we feel that it is time to let this special place begin a new chapter with another family,” she wrote.
“So, with a little bit of sadness—but also with a lot of gratitude—we are offering our beloved holiday home in Baler, Aurora for sale.”
Glaiza hopes the next owner will see the same potential and warmth that she and her family found in the property.
“We hope to find an owner who will see what we saw in it: not just a property, but a place with warmth, character, and so much potential.
A place where families can gather.
Where friends can celebrate.
Where children can grow up making memories.
Where someone can wake up, breathe a little deeper, and appreciate the beauty of life.”
She ended her post saying: “We have made so many memories here, and now we are ready to pass the keys—and the opportunity to create many more—to someone new. Maybe the next chapter of this home is meant to be yours. 🏡❤️”
In 2023, Glaiza opened her resort house, Casa Galura, to the public. The property is located around a 10- to 12-minute drive from Sabang Beach, one of Baler’s popular surfing spots.
In a previous post, Glaiza explained why she chose to invest in Baler.
“Ang daming nagtatanong kung bakit sa Baler ko piniling mag invest. Siguro dahil ni re remind niya ako ng childhood ko at noong mga panahon na nakakapag reunion kaming pamilya. Nakaka miss lang,” she wrote.

Aside from the resort house, Glaiza also had a café in the same area.
