Becky Aguila, manager of Jennylyn Mercado, did not hold back in her response to Patrick Garcia after the actor talked about his former partner in an interview with Ogie Diaz.
Becky's personal post came after her company, Aguila Entertainment, released an official statement on its Facebook page. This time, she spoke on her own Facebook account, and she made it clear she was not writing as a talent manager.
"Hi Patrick. Long time no see or talk/text. Nakakabigla naman ang pasabog mo. I am posting this not as Jen's manager, but as her second mom," she wrote.
Becky asked why Patrick chose to go public instead of approaching her first. She pointed out that even though Lydia Mercado, Jennylyn's aunt and adoptive mother, has already passed away, she is still there for the actress.
"Why did you have to resort to an interview? Kahit wala na si Tita Lydia Mercado, andito pa naman ako," she said.
She said she does not want to hurt anyone or ruin anyone's reputation, but she could not keep quiet while Jennylyn was being hurt. She also accused Patrick of speaking out at the expense of Jennylyn and their son, Alex Jazz.
"Ayokong makasakit at makasira ng image, pero nasasaktan ako for Jen. Sa dami ng pagkukulang mo kay Jen, lalo na kay Jazz, mas inintindi mo pa ang magpa-interview to protect your daughter from bashers at the expense of Jen and Jazz. Nakalimutan mo yata that she is the mother of your child," Becky said.
According to Becky, Patrick could have raised his concerns privately, since both Jennylyn and her husband, Dennis Trillo, are open to talking.
"May concerns ka pala, sana nag-reach out ka na lang sa akin at maayos natin nailatag ito with Jen and Dennis, at madali naman silang kausap," she said.
Becky also said she remembers the things Patrick did that hurt Jennylyn. She said the actress never talked about them with other people out of respect for Patrick.
"There are a lot of things you did to hurt her, and never niya ikinuwento 'yun sa iba bilang respeto sa 'yo at tatay ka ng anak ninyo, at para na rin sa pamilya mo na nananahimik na. Pero lahat 'yun naaalala ko," she said.
She also questioned Patrick's version of events, saying his story left some things out and added others.
"Pasensya na, Patrick, pero 'yung truth mo, maraming kulang at dagdag," she said.
"Nanahimik na ang nanay mo, binuhay mo ulit ang issue, and this is all on you," she added.
Patrick earlier said he decided to speak up because his daughter was being bullied. Becky answered that she hopes it helped.
"I hope nakatulong nga ito sa daughter mo. And hopefully you are satisfied with all the things you've done," she said.
She ended her post with a direct message to the actor.
"All I can say is that you never deserved Jen's love in the first place. And you will never earn my respect," Becky wrote.
Aguila Entertainment earlier announced that Jennylyn will not give any interviews to answer Patrick's allegations. These include his claim that she kept him from seeing Jazz.

Jazz was born on August 16, 2008, and turned 18 in August. His parents split the same year he was born. At the time, Jennylyn said in a TV interview that she would raise him on her own.
Both have since moved on. Patrick married Nikka Martinez in 2015. Jennylyn married Dennis Trillo in a civil ceremony on November 15, 2021.
