MANILA -- P-pop group VXON and OPM band Cup of Joe are looking forward to reconnecting with regional fans at "GenZ Live: Bacolod," set for July 18 at the SM City Bacolod Skyhall.
The groups welcome the opportunity to bring their music to audiences beyond Metro Manila, while hopefully inspiring artists across the country.
"I think sobrang nakaka-fulfill sya kasi nga as an artist, yun naman talaga yung goal ng isang artist na maka-inspire at ma-spread yung craft nila," said VXON's Vince in an online media conference on Tuesday.
"Nae-excite kami this time kasi from dati nag-Bacolod na kami, like, past two years. And we can't wait to go back and meet our VIXIES there," added Franz.
VXON member C13 said the upcoming regional tour is an opportunity to further introduce VXON and other Filipino artists to audiences in the Visayas and Mindanao.
Cup of Joe's Gab echoed the sentiment, saying they hope to inspire young musicians in the provinces, just as they were once inspired by artists who visited their hometowns.
"Kami sobra namin nilu-look forward 'yon kasi dati before kami maging artists, fan din kami ng mga artist ng OPM," Gab recalled. "And kami ngayon, bilang isa sa nagtatayo ng bandera ng OPM gusto naming maka-inspire din ng mga younger artists."
For Gian Bernardino, Bacolod holds a special place in the band's heart after serving as the final stop of their first-ever "Silakbo" concert tour.
"Sobrang hindi namin makakalimutan yung energy, and love and support na na-receive namin from our Bacolod 'Joewahs'. Kaya ngayon parang looking forward pa rin kami na makabalik don kasi sobrang surreal ng experience," Bernardino said.
Tickets to 'GenZ Live: Bacolod' are available at www.smtickets.com.
The concert will be followed by the second leg, 'GenZ Live: Cebu', on July 26 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, featuring VXON, G22, and AJAA.
