"Mental," a collaboration song between Nameless Kids and Cesca, passes 105,000 streams on Spotify.

Indie alternative band Nameless Kids and singer-songwriter Cesca's joint musical prowess shines on the sweet, lighthearted pop song "mental." Released on Sept. 16 as a track in the band's EP of the same name, the song has amassed over 100,000 streams on Spotify in less than two weeks.

The song mental, which tackles the feeling of being all over the place as one obsesses over the new relationship of the person they struggle to get over, was borne from the songwriting skills of the band's lead vocalist Nhiko Sabiniano along with Cesca while on a songwriting camp in Davao. Unlike the messiness of the feelings captured in the track, the song itself is neat and ...

Debuting in 2020, the unique indie sound and earnest lyricism of Nameless Kids has allowed them to build a steady following, which stemmed from their debut single "Outlaws" followed by the release of their debut EP "Shoes out the Door!" in 2021. The band earned further recognition with their biggest hits to date, "Sayo (Ang Mundo)" and "Gabi," both reaching the 3 million mark on Spotify. In 2023, the same year as the two releases, the band released their debut album "Manila in Bloom."

The award-winning Cesca managed to be recognized in the OPM industry with the smooth pairing of her gentle melodies and poignant songwriting. With these qualities, her song "Lovesick - Pagmahalasakit" was hailed as Best Traditional/Contemporary Folk Recording at the 36th Awit Awards. She released her debut EP "Travel" in 2022 and her sophomore EP "Balse ng Gabi," which features a collaboration with Maki, the following year — both of which were met with much success and millions of Spotify streams.

Mental forms Nameless Kids' forthcoming album, along with recent releases "temporary," "sinungaling," as well as the song "kuha mo na," which was featured in the official soundtrack of the Emmy-nominated iWant original series Love At First Spike, helping the song reach 1 million streams on Spotify.
