WRIVE, featuring Cianne Dominguez, gives a contemporary feel to an OPM classic.
P-pop group WRIVE gets their swag on with their rendition of Gloc-9's classic hip-hop anthem "Sumayaw Ka."
Joining Asi, Drei, Ishiro, Mathew and Russu in bringing a modern spin to the OPM hit is It's Showtime host Cianne Dominguez. Russu, who has composed a couple of their original music, also produced and arranged the rendition along with Darren Cashwell.
To build anticipation for the song, the rising P-pop group performed their version of Sumayaw Ka ahead of its official release during their first anniversary fan event "WRIVE: Unang Taon" on July 25, and at Star Magic's All Star Games on Aug. 23. The group, alongside several ABS-CBN personalities, also brought their own moves to an online dance challenge.
WRIVE maintains their mark in the P-pop landscape with the recent release of their self-titled debut album that has garnered over 700,000 streams on Spotify in eight months, featuring the songs "Ooh La La", "Señorita" (written by Russu) and "Panaginip Na Lang" (written by all).
