BINI, Maki, Baby Dolls and Angela Ken carry the torch for ABS-CBN Music at the Filipino Music Awards 2026.

The Filipino Music Awards returns for its second edition on Oct. 6 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Set to light up the ceremony are the skilled and passionate musicians who received nominations for themselves and their works, led by the re-emerging IV OF SPADES with nine nods. Following the rock band, with six nods is BINI. Meanwhile, SB19, Cup of Joe and Maki all receive five nods each.

The awards night celebrates OPM across its different genres and generations, with performances ranging from seasoned musicians to up-and-coming artists, each with their distinct sound and personalities.

Here is a list of the talents that comprises ABS-CBN Music's 16 nominations at the music awards:

BINI

Leading this list is the Nation's Girl Group, with six nominations including Artist of the Year and People's Choice Award. This year has been nothing short of historic for Aiah, Colet, Gwen, Jhoanna, Maloi, Mikha, Sheena and Stacey, as this summer, they became the first Filipino artists and first Southeast Asian girl group to perform on the renowned Coachella stage. Continuing their streak in bringing pride to the country, they also received the Global Force Award at the Billboard Women in Music 2026 ceremony.

Despite the various trials and tribulations that the girls have gone through as a group and as individuals since achieving their breakthrough, BINI proves that they are not backing down as they continue to go up, with their latest EP "Signals" receiving several nominations, including Album of the Year, along with a Tour of the Year nomination for its accompanying world tour. The EP tracks "Unang Kilig" and "Blush" were also nominated for Pop Song of the Year and People's Choice Award, respectively.

Maki

The tried and tested hitmaker Maki is among the most nominated artists at the awards show, receiving five nods including Artist of the Year and People's Choice Award. Filled with hit after hit such as "Dilaw," "Namumula" and "kahel na langit," his debut album "KOLORCOASTER" was nominated for Album of the Year, but the colors go beyond the record as his 2026 single "habangbuhay pansamantala" also receive nominations for Pop Song of the Year and People's Choice Award.

Debuting in 2021, the Tarsier Records artist is not new to creating songs that resonate deeply with the people, as well as making every song unique from one another while working cohesively with other tracks. Before entering his "color era," Maki first made an EP consisting of several different questions, which includes his first hit "Saan?"

Baby Dolls

After releasing their debut EP back in March, the It's Showtime group made their mark in the music scene this summer as their songs "Ikembot Mo" and "Oooh Lala Baby" stepped into virality — the group's aerobics aesthetic, paired with the songs' peppy tone and catchy choreography, turned up the energy of netizens across the country. With this, they received a nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, while the hit Oooh Lala Baby was nominated for Pop Song of the Year and People's Choice Award.

The group comprises Arianne, Chole, Eriel, Jelai, Johaira and Juby. Although they were originally formed in 2023, the girls are still in the early stage of their music career and are on track to bring even more light and energy to listeners with their songs, having just released their latest single "Meme."

Angela Ken

The Tarsier Records artist completes the list with the nomination of her song "baka bukas" for Folk Song of the Year, marking her first nod in the music awards.

Angela Ken has long been touching people's hearts with her tender songwriting, beginning from her hit debut single "Ako Naman Muna." Five years since her debut, the singer-songwriter is ticking off a major achievement in her checklist as she gears up for her first headlining concert titled Angela Ken: Panahon Na Natin, on Oct. 18 at the New Frontier Theater.

For the achievements of the aforementioned artists, ABS-CBN Music joins the list of the Music Company of the Year nominees.
