Global star Jackson Wang is entering a new chapter in his career as he officially joins entertainment company Roc Nation while releasing a new single that looks back on his journey and expresses his gratitude to the people who have supported him along the way.
In a press release, American rapper, businessman, and record executive Jay-Z welcomed the GOT7 member to the Roc Nation family.
“We’re excited to have Jackson Wang join our family here at Roc Nation,” Jay-Z said. “He’s an incredible artist with a very special drive, and we can’t wait to see what he does next.”
Jackson also shared his excitement over the new chapter, writing on social media: “Honored to join @rocnation family 🙏 Excited for what’s ahead.”
Alongside his Roc Nation signing, Jackson released his new single “Thank You,” accompanied by a black-and-white music video shot using the newly released iPhone 18 Pro. The music video takes Jackson through different stages of his life as he looks back on the people, memories, and experiences that helped shape him into the artist he is today.
“Shot in black and white, the ‘Thank You’ music video sees Jackson stripped-back, moving through different stages of his life, thanking his fans and those who have always championed him for their unwavering support. For Jackson, sharing this song with his biggest supporters is the ultimate celebration of all the eras in his career leading up to this moment. ‘Thank You’ closes a chapter, but paves the way for more new music and creativity,” a press release stated.
The music video also features Jackson’s fans from around the world, following an application process that drew entries from more than 80 countries. Thirty individuals from China, the United States, Australia, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and other countries were selected to join him on set.
According to the announcement, every character, outfit, and circle featured in the video represents an important person, memory, or chapter in Jackson’s life, from his early days in gymnastics and fencing, to memories with childhood friends, his music career, and now his signing with Roc Nation.
In an interview on Apple Music, Jackson opened up about why he wanted to create a song dedicated to the people who have continued to support him throughout his career.
“I always thought that the (entertainment) industry is an emotional space where people can let things out. Me being an entertainer, singer or performer, sometimes in the entertainment industry they can inspire people, give hopes to people, give deep connections or sometimes it can become gossip or negativity or hatred and that’s in the business,” he said.
“For me, as an artist who participates within that field, regardless of what I get, I'm always blessed to serve as part of this industry and among that, who always give me opportunity, give me platform, give me positive support and love has always been my fans and because of that I just wanted to create a song and that's how much I appreciate them,” he added.
Jackson’s message of gratitude also reflects the perspective he has shared with Filipino fans during his previous visit to the Philippines. The singer last visited the country in November 2025 for his Magic Man 2 World Tour.

In a previous interview, Jackson opened up about what he hopes audiences take away whenever he stages a show.
"When I put out my album, it’s like listening to a movie, but my show is like watching it in front of your eyes. They take away a lot of the messages. And the main message is, whatever happens in your life, the good and the bad, it's meant to happen. And what's been done can't be undone… You just learn from it and move forward. Accept it and move on,” he said.
