Taylor Swift revealed that Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell are part of the music video for her new song “Patient Zero.”
The global superstar shared a teaser for the music video, which is set to premiere during the Video Music Awards on Sunday, September 27 in Los Angeles, California.
The brief clip features the three stars in a series of mysterious and cinematic scenes before showing them in glamorous ensembles.
Fans online were quick to express their excitement about the star-studded music video.
"OMG 50 shades of slay," one fan commented.
"This is cinema," another fan wrote.
Taylor is expanding her blockbuster album The Life of a Showgirl with an “encore” edition featuring four new songs, set for release on Friday, September 25.
The pop superstar announced the project on Instagram on Wednesday, September 23, as she looked back on the record-breaking reception the album received upon its release.
"About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history," she posted on her Instagram page.
Following the album’s success, Taylor traveled to Sweden to reunite with longtime collaborators Max Martin and Shellback. What began as a trip to celebrate their achievement eventually turned into another creative session in the studio.
"I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs," she said.
According to Taylor, the additional tracks came from the gratitude she and her collaborators felt following the overwhelming support for the original record.
"I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made. The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore including four new songs is out on Friday and available to pre-order and save now," she wrote.
The encore edition will feature four new tracks: “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.”

Taylor is also set to mark another career milestone as the first recipient of the MTV VMA Artist Director Honors at the VMAs on Sunday.
According to a press release as reported by Billboard, the award is in recognition of the “groundbreaking music artists whose work behind the camera has expanded the possibilities of music video and advanced the art of visual storytelling." It also “celebrates a sustained and influential body of work from artists who have pushed creative boundaries and developed a clear directorial voice."
