Kira Balinger recently showcased her charisma, talent, and admirable qualities on “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition,” where she carried the moniker “Hopeful Belle ng Cavite.” But her stay inside Kuya’s house was shorter than many expected, leaving fans wanting more. As a music lover, one of the toughest questions Kira faced was choosing her ultimate favorite song. She’s got a long playlist. But if she really had to choose, she'd go with “Right To Be Wrong” by Joss Stone.
On the flip side, she didn't even have to think twice when asked about the most impactful recent event in her life. Her PBB experience instantly came to mind. She said the whole process was life-changing, even during the 'hotel arrest' or the period where housemates are kept isolated in a hotel before they enter the house. "Never pa akong nakaka-experience ng ganito, to be isolated, no phone, no communication with my loved ones. I don't have a clock, I don't know what day it is. It's a big experience for me," she smiled.
Kira’s huge heart for God’s creation was revealed when asked what she’d buy if money weren't an issue. She said she’d purchase a piece of land that’s large enough to build a sanctuary for animals or preserve nature. "Kasi pansin ko ang daming nagtatayo ng malls, establishment, nawawala 'yung greenery dito sa bansa natin. And if we lose the greenery, we lose the animals too. That's very, very sad," she expressed with genuine concern.
When asked what she’d ask for if given three wishes, she whispered, “Sana ako na ‘yung Big Winner.” Her second wish was for her and her loved ones to live forever. Her third wish, though it may sound like a pageant answer, was for world peace. Crown this gal already!
Her take on success might sound like a pageant answer too, but you could tell it came straight from the heart. For Kira, success means finding or doing what truly makes you happy. "No amount of fame or fortune or material things could make a person happy if they are not happy within."
The Kapamilya star believes a true friend is someone who isn’t afraid to correct you when you’ve done something wrong. So, when it comes to friendships, the quality she values the most is honesty.
Things turned a bit hilarious as the mestiza beauty brought up her ‘emo’ days, specifically wearing thick black eyeliner, when asked about the tackiest fashion trend she’s ever followed. Kira couldn’t help but laugh at her younger self.
More random questions came next, like what food she could eat every single day. Kira’s a big fan of Japanese cuisine in general, but sushi takes the top spot.
And when asked who she’d want as a celebrity BFF, she had two names ready. First on her list is Anne Curtis, as she thinks Anne is super fun, plus there’s so much to learn from someone who’s been in the industry for so long. A mentor and 'barkada' in one!
She also mentioned she’d love to be friends with the BINI members because they all seem cute and cool. But if she had to pick one, it would be BINI Maloi. Kira sees her as someone creative, and she believes that kind of creativity would shine through in a friendship too. Who knows, maybe Kira and BINI will collaborate in the future!
