Maui Taylor was asked what she looks for in “the one,” and first on her list was "hindi masyadong gwapo," which Long Mejia thought fit him perfectly, until Maui ended his delusion by saying his wig didn’t meet her standards.
Friends Negi and Pepay know each other well enough to go straight for the jugular. In one episode, before Pepay started her game, she used Negi as her cautionary tale, joking that her friend is "hindi katalinuhan" because she keeps getting fooled by her exes and struggles to move on. Pepay went on to reveal that Negi gifted an ex with a house and now she’s the one renting it.
But, Negi got her revenge in another episode, saying she and Pepay used to look alike but Pepay's face has changed through the years. And then the other 'fighter' in this 'bardagulan' chose violence, asking how they could possibly look alike when Negi was the only one who lived in a tree. Pepay joked that she may have been ugly back then but not Negi-level ugly.
Pepay and Negi may love roasting each other, but sometimes they happily team up especially when Long is the target. During Angeline Quinto’s game, they convinced her to eliminate Long’s briefcase just because he was the only one who looked different from the rest of the Lucky Stars.
In another episode, the entire group joined Pepay and Negi in their petition to fire Long from the show. He really couldn't catch a break because in a separate game, host Luis Manzano noticed that the four remaining Lucky Stars—Long, Negi, AC Bonifacio, and Christine Samson —looked like they had been arranged to separate the “nabubulok" from "hindi nabubulok." Negi jumped in, pointing out that the “trash” was really placed at the back, referring to Long’s position onstage.
Pepay didn’t back down from Divine Tetay either when they fought over Lucky Star Mauro Lumba. "Bakit pinipilit mong sa'yo?" she fired at Tetay. But their friendship prevailed in the end when they decided that maybe they could just share.
