Before audiences knew him as the “Son-sational Viral Beshie” of “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition,” Esnyr Ranollo had already taken the online world by storm with his classroom skits on TikTok. His viral portrayals of classic Filipino high school archetypes kickstarted his showbiz career, and he has since become one of the rising artists fans love to watch.
As Esnyr gears up for the newest iWant vertical series “Half Sisters,” Kapamilya Spotlight takes a look back at the projects that helped establish his rise to stardom—from cameo roles to standout characters that showcased his versatility as a performer.
Before making his mark on television, Esnyr first entertained audiences with his campus scenarios, bringing to life characters such as the strict Ma’am Castro, the charming student Precious, the boy-next-door Bogart, and many more personalities that have since become iconic among his fans.
Esnyr’s funny and relatable content quickly earned him recognition, and later that year, he made the transition to mainstream entertainment. He officially signed with Rise Artists Studio and made his film debut in the romantic drama “Love Is Color Blind,” bringing his online multiverse of high school personas to the big screen as Andrei, Precious, and Balong.
From portraying students online to stepping into television roles, the stars aligned for Esnyr when he joined the youth-oriented series “He’s Into Her,” starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, as one of Benison High’s students. He also headlined the digital comedy miniseries “Star CineMashup x Esnyr,” where he hilariously inserted his beloved online characters into iconic Star Cinema movies and series.
Esnyr later took on the role of Maxie in “How to Spot a Red Flag,” where he worked once again with DonBelle, adding another memorable character to his growing list of acting credits.
While making waves on the big screen, Esnyr’s career soared even higher in 2025 when he joined “PBB Collab.” Inside Bahay ni Kuya, audiences got to see a more personal side of Esnyr—his dedication to his craft, love for his family, and undeniable wit. He finished as the Kapamilya 3rd Big Placer, a milestone that opened the door to even more acting opportunities.
Building on this momentum, Esnyr appeared in the mystery series “The Secrets of Hotel 88” alongside fellow “PBB Collab” alums. He played Raphie Salcedo, who helps manage Hotel 88 alongside his sister, Monette (Klarisse De Guzman). His character soon found himself entangled in the complex web of secrets surrounding the hotel and its management.
In the following years, Esnyr starred in more movie projects. Beyond acting, Esnyr has also ventured into hosting, joining Bianca Gonzalez as co-host of “Hello, Outside World.” The experience further showcases his versatility as an entertainer, adding another dimension to his growing career in the industry.
After portraying characters across different genres, Esnyr returns to the comedy scene in the latest iWant microdrama “Half Sisters.” He plays Ramon, the half-brother of Emily (Bianca De Vera), who works at a drag comedy bar.
Ramon leads a double life, balancing his everyday existence with his supernatural identity as a manananggal—a mythical creature that can separate its upper body from its lower half at night. The official trailer teases the complex sibling dynamic between Ramon and Emily, who eventually discovers the truth about their supernatural nature.
Their sibling bond is put to the test when both Ramon and Emily develop romantic feelings for Pancho, portrayed by Brent Manalo. As Ramon finds himself caught in a love triangle, Esnyr’s portrayal hints at how his character will wrestle with his emotions as twists and revelations unfold—something we can’t wait to witness in this quirky iWant Original.
“Half Sisters" will premiere this September 25, with all episodes dropping exclusively on iWant.
