Filipina-Aussies got all three crowns in the recently concluded Queens of Australia national pageant.
Alexa Roder was crowned Miss Earth Australia 2025, giving her a shot at a back-to-back victory. Her predecessor, Jessica Lane, won Australia's first Miss Earth title last year.
Roder may be a familiar name among pageant fans as one of the candidates of Miss Philippines Earth 2025, representing the Filipino community in Melbourne. She finished in the semi-finals of the said competition, which was won by Joy Barcoma.
Bella Dela Cruz, on the other hand, bagged the Miss International Australia 2025 title.
Her victory came months after her semi-finals placement in Miss Universe Philippines, where pageant veteran Ahtisa Manalo was proclaimed winner.
"Not all plans unfold the way we expect in life, but I truly believe that everything happens in God's perfect timing," Dela Cruz said in an Instagram post shortly after her win.
Adriana Gravador, meanwhile, was proclaimed Miss Eco Australia 2025. She will aim to succeed the Philippines' Alexie Brooks as the next Miss Eco International.
Before getting the chance to compete on the global stage, Gravador joined Binibining Cebu 2020, where she made it to the semi-finals.
"I am beyond excited to carry the Australian flag all the way to Miss Eco International in Egypt, where I will represent not just myself, but my country, and the values that matter most to me," Gravador said in an Instagram post.
Seemingly reacting to comments that most of its winners are of Filipina descent, Queens of Australia released a statement saying the newly crowned titleholders are "all 100% Australian."
"Each woman brought her own light and story to the stage, and together they showed the true spirit of Queens of Australia," it said. "Our candidates come from many cultural heritages, but all are 100% Australian -- a reflection of the diverse and beautiful country we call home."
"Let's continue to lift these women up with kindness and positivity -- because anything less has no place here."
A number of Filipino-Aussie beauty queens have made their mark on the international pageant scene by wearing the Philippine sash. Leading the pack is Catriona Gray, who won the Miss Universe crown in 2018.
Other notable Fil-Aussies in pageantry include Hannah Arnold, who placed in the Top 15 of Miss International 2022; and Chanel Olive Thomas, who finished in the Top 10 of Miss Supranational 2017.
