MANILA — More than 15,000 runners took part in the One Piece Run 2026 on Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia Complex, combining a road race with a celebration of the popular Japanese anime and manga franchise.
Vincent Avestruz topped the men’s 10K race in 35 minutes, 22 seconds, followed by Mark Anthony Oximar in 36:25 and Jojie Daga-as in 38:44.
Jocelyn Elijeran won the women’s 10K in 44:47. Michelle Untalan finished second in 54:04, while Urie Hondrade placed third in 54:22.
In the men’s 5K, Mark Biagtan took first place in 19:46, ahead of Gian Carlo Geocado (20:00) and Jason Lyon Caole (20:45). Maricar Camacho led the women’s field in 20:30, followed by Jo Punay (21:31) and Carleen Chavez (25:38).
Fritz Angelo Operio won the men’s 3K in 9:43, with Peter Goleta second in 9:54 and Renz Mirasol third in 10:07. Mary Rose Frias topped the women’s 3K in 12:15, followed by Karla Marie Superiano (14:51) and Wilma Nano (15:15).
In the 1K race, Adrian Bondilles finished first among the men in 3:08. Cameron Nathan Claudio placed second in 3:45, while Lucas Sebastian Sarmenta was third in 4:09.
Megumi Nakano won the women’s 1K in 4:07, ahead of Angelica Panambo (4:19) and Tiara Jerisse Medina (4:23).

Organized by RUNRIO, the event encouraged participants to incorporate elements of the One Piece universe into their race-day outfits, with runners turning up in costumes inspired by characters from the franchise.
