MANILA — A 36-year-old businesswoman allegedly involved in recruiting massage therapists for a home-service operation that offered “extra services” was arrested in Angeles City, Pampanga.
The suspect, who was listed as the Regional Most Wanted Person of Police Regional Office 4A, was arrested in Barangay Malabanias on September 29.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said the woman was the subject of 10 warrants of arrest issued by courts in Mandaluyong, Calamba, Bacoor, Pasay, and Parañaque for illegal recruitment, qualified trafficking, qualified trafficking in persons, estafa, and violations of the Securities Regulation Code.
According to the CIDG, the suspect and her alleged accomplices recruited individuals in Calamba City in 2024 to work as home-service massage therapists.
Police said the massage services allegedly came with an offer of “extra services.”
The CIDG said the arrest was part of its continuing efforts to locate wanted persons and hold those accused of trafficking and other offenses accountable.
The suspect will face the courts that issued the warrants.
