Elreen Ando fell short of a medal finish in the women's 61kg class of the weightlifting event at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
The two-time Olympian had a total of 224kg in the competition for a fifth-place finish on Friday at the Nagoya City Trade and Industry Center.
She lifted 101kg in snatch and 123kg in the clean and jerk, both in second attempts, for that total.

China's young lifter Yang Liuyue had 251kg, 112kg from her snatch and a sensational 139kg lift in the clean and jerk, to edge out Jin Hae Pak's output of 248kg for the gold.
Taiwanese Kuo Hsing-chun completed the podium, lifting a total of 237kg, 107kg in her third attempt in snatch and only had 130kg in the clean and jerk, after missing on her second and third attempts for a 138kg lift.
