The Alas Pilipinas pair of Sofiah Pagara and Khy Progella swept the preliminary round of the women's beach volleyball event at the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026.
The Busan Futures champions, already virtually secured of a Round of 16 spot entering the match, continued their winning ways by turning back the Hong Kong duo of Wong Man Ching and Tsang Ngok Ling, 21-19, 21-17, keeping their perfect record in the continental showpiece, Saturday at the Hekinan Ryokuchi Beach Court.

With the triumph, Pagara and Progella topped Pool G, and will continue their Asiad run on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Asiad bid of Ronniel Rosales and James Buytrago is on the line as they face the undefeated Indonesian side of Bintang Akbar and Sofyan Rachman Efendi this Sunday.
