“When I was in my teenage years, di ba lahat naman tayo dumadaan sa phase na, ‘Ma, ano ba?’ Pero now I appreciate her being present physically. When I decided to move out on my own at 21, doon ko na-realize, ang dami palang ginagawa ng nanay ko (laughs). Gigising ako, walang pagkain. Babalik ako ng bahay, ang gulo-gulo pa rin ng kuwarto ko. Those things that you don’t realize when you have it,” he told PUSH ABS-CBN.

Now that he is pursuing an international career, Inigo is thankful to be able to spend time with his mom in the US. “Now, when I do shows abroad, I don’t have to worry about my clothes being ironed or my food and it’s something that took time for me to really appreciate. A lot of teenagers, especially Gen Z, Gen Alpha, they’re going through that but I just want to tell you guys that you’ll get through that and you’ll love your moms more,” he admitted.
When asked what he considers a favorite memory with his mom, Inigo admits, “It’s hard because I’m with her all the time so it’s had to pick one. Every time I am out of the country, she joins me!”

As he continually looks for new decorations for his first solo home, Inigo admits his mom helps him regulate his tendency to hoard new stuff. “Personally, one of my favorite things to buy is giant vases, mga clear glass vases. So I’ll go home with these giant vases. I don’t know, I like those giant, clear vases that look like wine bottles. I have a few collections of it. Even when I don’t need anything. And my mom gets mad about it kasi ang dami kong inuuwi na kung anu-ano, mga anik-anik. Si mommy naman, ‘Ano na naman dala mo?’ (laughs)” he shared.
Dreaming of someday owning a Spanish colonial themed house with a courtyard, Piolo Pascual's only son says he will have to be content for now visiting vintage shops as he saves up for his dream home. “The thing about thrifting is, it’s one-of-a-kind pieces. They won’t be able to go to a store and be like, can I buy the same one? And that’s one of my favorite hobbies, interior design. I love going to thrift shops, specifically for furniture,” he admitted.
In a recent interview with ABS-CBN, Inigo also shared getting into rug-making while in the US, and already selling some of his designs online. "“I love creating just random things and eventually my dream is to get into the apparel world to create clothes and stuff. I think it’s been a year now. So I recently started making rugs. My recent collection is the cat collection. I sold some of my designs already. Eventually, I do want to start a business on my designs. The octopus design is something that I also enjoyed. I learned it all by myself sa YouTube lang (laughs). I have my own equipment at home, everything is handmade. I have some of my stuff that I keep personally but I’ve sold a couple of pieces as well,” he explained.
