Kapuso actress and television personality Iya Villania revealed that she is scared of giving birth. In the recent episode of The Sexytime Podcast where she was a guest, she answered some questions on motherhood and what made her decide to have five children.
Iya shares five kids with her husband, Drew Arellano: Primo, Leon, Alana, Astro, and Anya.

Despite having gone through five different births, the Kapuso star shared how it still freaks her out as there’s no assurance of a normal and safe delivery in every case.
“Delivery freaks me out… Cause anything can happen and no amount of working out can ever guarantee the kind of delivery that you’re gonna have. It doesn’t even guarantee what kind of pregnancy you’re gonna have,” she explained.
She added how women who have gone through giving birth would know how scary it is but she is thankful that all of her births were a normal delivery.
Iya, who’s been a fitness enthusiast, shared how she was also scared every time she would work out during her pregnancy. She recalled the time when she had light brown spotting with her last child, Anya, during one of her workouts.
“I was a little scared with each one and so when I’d be working out, anytime I’d feel like some kind of discharge, I run to the toilet just to check in case of blood. It never happened but I think with Anya, because it was a challenging time to be pregnant because it was Christmas–– I was dealing with the Christmas rush, trying to get everything done,” she recalled.
Meanwhile, she shared in the same interview that she always liked the idea of having five kids but was hesitant at first. It was during the pandemic when she told her husband she wanted to have more children.

“I’ve always liked the idea of five but after having Primo, I was like I think we’re good with two. And then the pandemic happened–– it became the fundemic. But really, the pandemic happened and we had Alana so we finally had a girl. Watching them grow up was the cutest thing and it was just like an addiction,” she shared.
“I remember looking over the kitchen, watching the three of them, I turned to Drew, ‘I never thought I’d say this but why do I feel like kulang pa? Let’s have one more,’” she added.
Anya would be their last child as both Iya and Drew discussed their family planning with the latter even going through vasectomy earlier this year.
