Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista revealed that she will be skipping Spring/Summer 2026 Fashion Week happening from September 11 to October 7 in New York, London, Milan, and Paris, respectively. In an Instagram Live, the fashionista reasoned it is what has been happening to the country lately that made her decide to miss out on this season’s Fashion Week.
Heart has been known to attend Fashion Week throughout the years and fans have been waiting for her outfits each time. This time around, she decided that she’ll be sitting this one out in respect to her fellow Filipinos.

She apologized to her fans for the late notice during the live broadcast she made on her Instagram account earlier this week.
“I’m sorry to my fans that I’m not going to fashion week. I know that you guys say laban–– I really appreciate you but honestly, I don’t think it’s the right time for anyone, especially from our country, to be going to fashion week because I think we need to be here,” she shared.
The Kapuso star added that going to Fashion Week isn’t just for fun for her as she gets paid to be there as well. She gave a glimpse of how much she earns per show and is proud of what she does.

“For example, a brand would tap you to go to a show, I’m paid around maybe 2M per show and that’s too much information because I don’t really feel like some people deserve that. I’m proud of it, I’m proud of my job and that’s what I do–– I promote,” she said.
Heart then expressed her frustration as she explained how passionate she is over her job–– something that she claimed some netizens are attacking.
“That upsets me as well and so I’m not here because I want to make hanash, I’m here because I want to let people know that I’m not going to fashion week. Maybe some people think, ang shallow, it’s just fashion week. It’s something I love, it’s something I’m passionate about but it’s my job. It’s my job–– I lose a lot by not going,” she added.

Despite not attending Fashion Week, Heart expressed her gratitude towards the brands–– both local and international––– that continued to support her.
“I have other important responsibilities and I also want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the brands that understand and support me. For me not going and all the brands here in the Philippines, thank you so much for just seeing my heart,” she expressed.
In the same Instagram Live, Heart maintained that she is also livid with the corruption that’s been happening in the country right now. She assured her fans that just like them, she demands for accountability and hopes that justice will be served.
