Comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas revealed that she contacted her former "friendship," Kris Aquino, with whom she shared some of her most memorable TV moments from her prime.
“Actually, nag-reach out ako sa kanya. Hindi ko alam kung nagbago na siya ng phone number,” delas Alas said in an interview with editor Janiz Navida during the press conference for her new film "Batang Paco," saying that she texted Aquino but received no response.
When asked if she had moved on from the heartbreak of falling out with her ex-friend, delas Alas replied, “Wala na ‘yun. Let’s all move on. Past na ‘yun.”
“Sana okay siya,” delas Alas added, alluding to Aquino’s continuous health struggle.
The "Batang Paco" star went on to remark that, despite what occurred between her and Aquino, she still believes the Queen of All Media was an important part of her life.
“Si Kris ay naging part ng buhay ko. She’s my friendship. She’ll [always] be my friendship kahit anong mangyari,” she said.
During the press con, the comedienne also shared that she is focused on herself and her family following her highly publicized breakup with her ex-husband. She also thanked online users for revisiting her iconic Star Cinema film "Ang Tanging Ina" and making it popular again.

Her movie "Batang Paco," also starring Empoy Marquez, Mon Confiado, Ynez Veneracion, Chichi Rita, Cassy Lavarias, Richard Quan, Alma Concepcion, Lara Morena, Natasha Ledesma, Kookoo Gonzales, Gerard Acao, Josh Ivan Morales, Kim Rodriguez, Jovi Vargas, and Quentin Molo, will be released in cinemas on February 18.
