Chloe San Jose is finally sharing the “beautiful secret” she and Carlos Yulo have been keeping since last December, revealing that they have been engaged for close to a year now.
Carlos and Chloe surprised netizens on September 28 when they revealed through a vlog that they had gotten engaged last year.

Following the announcement, Chloe took to Instagram to express how happy she is that they can finally share the milestone with the world.
“Our little secret since December 18 2025… 🤍💍,” Chloe began. “For 9 months, we’ve been treasuring this beautiful secret between us, quietly smiling to ourselves and taking our time to cherish it, knowing that one day we’d finally share it with the world.”
Now that their engagement is finally out in the open, Chloe also looked back on the journey that brought them to the proposal.
She recalled that her relationship with Carlos began with a simple message she sent him, saying that she is a fan. From that first interaction, the couple went on to share years filled with major milestones.
"Neither of us could have known where that little message would take us. And from there, life became a collection of airports, competitions, hotel rooms, long training days, little adventures, big dreams, and countless moments in between. I got to watch you chase your dreams, and you let me be beside you through the biggest moments of your life," Chloe wrote.
"We grew up together. We learned together. We fought for each other, protected each other, supported each other, and built a life of our own," she maintained.
Chloe also expressed gratitude for the experiences they went through as a couple, including the difficult chapters that eventually brought them closer to where they are now.
“Through everything, God has continued to guide us, protect us, and give us the strength to keep going. And looking back now, I’m grateful even for the chapters that weren’t easy, because they brought us here.”
Reflecting on their future together, Chloe expressed her certainty about choosing Carlos as her partner for the rest of her life, saying: “Mahal ko, I would choose you in every lifetime. And now, we get to choose each other for the rest of this one."
“I love you. Forever. 💍🫀,” Chloe ended.
In their vlog, the Olympic gold medalist surprised her by giving her two engagement rings.
The rings were placed on Chloe’s left and right ring fingers, with Carlos explaining that this was so both of her hands have a ring whenever they held each other’s hands.
