Actress and comedian Ai-Ai Delas Alas proudly welcomed her grandchild from her son Sancho and his partner, Maria Paula Sulit. In an Instagram post, the celebrity grandmother showed a glimpse of the birthing journey of her daughter-in-law who gave birth in Canada.
Sancho’s partner gave birth to their daughter, Mia Isabella Sulit-De las Alas, last January 27.

“Welcome to the world, our beautiful little grandchild Mia Isabella Sulit Delas Alas,” Ai-Ai wrote.
The comedian-actress then penned a heartfelt letter to Paula, whom she “admired” for her strength and sacrifice she underwent throughout the pregnancy.
“To my dear daughter-in-law, I know how painful and exhausting labor was, and I truly admire your strength and courage through it all. Because of your love and sacrifice, our family has been blessed with this precious gift,” she said.
“We are so proud of you and so grateful for everything you went through. We love you deeply and will always be here for you and my sweet grandchild. 👶💖.. and sa aking mabait na anak nag papasalamat ako na isa kang mabuting anak asawa at tatay love you always .. God bless you both,” she added.

Friends and fans welcomed the newborn in the comment section of her post. Others shared how happy they are for Ai-Ai and her growing family.
Meanwhile, Sancho shared this new chapter in their lives on his Instagram post. He expressed how they’ve been waiting for this day and how it had been a rollercoaster journey in the process.
“Hindi ko na halos maintindihan kung alin sa mga pakiramdam ang uunahin ko kaba ba, saya, pagkasabik, o takot. Pero nung nakita at nahawakan kita, parang naging malinaw ang lahat. Doon ko narealize na simula na ng bagong chapter ng buhay namin ang pagiging magulang,” Sancho wrote.
The actor assured his daughter that he will be a loving and responsible father for her and her mother.
“Mia binago mo ako sa paraang hindi ko inakala. Pipilitin kong maging mas responsable, mas masipag, at mas mapagmahal na ama para sayo at kay Mommy mo. Ikaw ang pinakamagandang biyaya ng buhay ko. Mahal na mahal ka namin anak,” he ended.
