Rising singer-actor Dylan Yturralde expressed gratitude for the opportunity to launch his self-titled debut EP, saying the project represents months of hard work and the confidence that Star Magic, Star Pop, Star Music, and ABS-CBN Music placed in him as an artist.
Speaking during the listening party for his self-titled EP, Yturralde admitted that becoming a recording artist was not something he initially imagined for himself.
“It's a blessing kasi hindi lahat na gusto maging singer ay nabibigyan ng opportunity na maging singer. I'm fortunate enough na pinagkatiwalaan nila ako and they see something in me na kaya kong gawin,” he said.
The young performer credited his management and music teams for helping bring the project to life, saying their belief in his potential pushed him to discover capabilities he did not know he had.
“At first hindi ko alam na kaya ko palang gawin. Pero dahil sa tiwala nila sa akin, sa vision ng Star Pop, Star Music and ABS-CBN Music Team and sa Star Magic, nagawa namin nang maganda,” he added.

Yturralde said the EP was the product of extensive preparation that began last year, underscoring the effort he invested in developing his craft.
“Pinaghirapan ko din naman eh. Pinagtrabahuhan ko. I worked hard sa craft ko. Pinaghandaan ko talaga tong EP na 'to. Last year pa 'to and months of preparation,” he said.
Despite the milestone, the singer believes he is only at the beginning of his musical journey.
“Nagsisimula pa lang ako eh. So, feeling ko I have a lot to learn pa. And excited ako sa mga susunod pang mangyayari,” he said.
To prepare for the release, Yturralde immersed himself in the songs on the EP, listening to them repeatedly to better understand and master each track. He also sought advice from friends, particularly fellow artists Jarren Garcia and Kai Montinola, whom he credited for helping him deepen his understanding of music.
“Nagtatanong ako ng thoughts sa mga friends ko. Special mention kay Jarren at Kai dahil sila talaga ang tumulong sa akin na maintindihan yung bawat aspeto ng music na alam ko ngayon at malalaman ko pa lang,” he shared.
Yturralde compared learning music to training in sports, saying mastery comes through repetition, dedication, and discipline.

“Just like sports, kailangan ulit-ulitin mo lang siya hanggang sa ma-master mo,” he said.
For the singer, however, technical preparation is only part of the equation. He believes passion remains the most important ingredient in creating meaningful music.
“Basta gawin mo siya with heart, feeling ko gaganda yung work basta lagyan mo ng puso,” he said.
The self-titled EP marks Yturralde's latest step into the music scene, with the young artist hoping to continue growing as a performer while sharing more of his artistry with listeners.
