Krypto is in a world of trouble in the new Supergirl trailer, the new DCU movie by ‘Cruella’ director Craig Gillespie.
The movie, based on the DC Comics miniseries 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow' by Tom King and Bilquis Evely, tells the story of Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin from the planet Krypton, and how her quest for a space bender on a planet with a red sun puts the one thing she loves in danger.
Kara must now partner with another alien, Ruthye Marye Knoll, and the Last Czarnian himself, DC’s main man Lobo, as they travel the stars looking for the evil Krem of the Yellow Hills and his band of space pirates.
Also appearing in the new trailer is Superman himself, who is concerned that Kara is not adjusting to life after the destruction of Krypton.
“Supergirl” stars starring Milly Alcock in the dual role of Supergirl/Kara Zor-El.
The movie also stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa.
DC Studios heads Peter Safran and James Gunn are producing the film, which is based on characters from DC, Supergirl based on characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
"Supergirl" opens in Philippine cinemas June 24.
