Her newest release turns life’s ups, downs, boo-boos, and heartbreaks into an emboldening battle cry for acceptance, acquiescence and self-recovery.
Nadine Lustre just dropped her latest single “10YRS,” a contemplative slowie that reflects on a decade of growth, heartbreak, mistakes, self-reclamation, and transformation.
Instead of inhabiting on the past and the what-if’s, “10YRS” embraces every experience, both hard and splendid, as important to growing into the person she is now. The song outlines Nadine’s journey toward letting go of what no longer benefits her, regaining her sense of individuality, and looking forward to what the future has in store.
The single turns those experiences into an unambiguous avowal of self-esteem, crowning in the understanding that healing and growth don't necessitate flawlessness. As a line in the song goes, “Dance with the chaos like I’m part of it.” It’s plainly Lustre embracing life in all its impulsiveness while being steadfast through it all.
Co-written by Nadine Lustre, and Rose Caroline Mamonong, with beats and instrumentation by Isagani Palabyab, “10YRS” features violin work by GD Onallices, adding delicate spectacle to the party. Its dark, subtle production highlights Nadine’s voice in its vulnerable glory: affectionate, gentle, but glowing with brightness, character and life.
“10YRS” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Cool Girl Records.
