When Ice Seguerra first released one of OPM’s most beautifully performed heart-wrenching songs, "Pagdating ng Panahon," in 2001, he never imagined that it would reach iconic and timeless status. The 42-year-old singer and songwriter shared his thoughts on the song’s 25th anniversary this year in his Instagram post last April 19.
Ice wrote, “I remember listening to this song the first time siya lumabas sa radyo, 25 years ago. Gumagawa ako ng homework and when I heard the intro, dali-dali ako bumaba para tawagin sina Mama and Daddy para sabay-sabay namin mapakinggan. I never thought this one song would bring me to where I am now. Na after 25 years, yung pagmamahal ng mga tao sa awiting ito ay dadalhin ako sa iba’t ibang entablado sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng mundo.”

Last month, Ice and his wife Liza Dino-Seguerra’s Fire & Ice Music and Vicor Music collaborated on a new partnership, which created fresh production of the track for its 25th anniversary.
Before ending his post, Ice thanked the people behind the song, who created the beautiful composition specifically for him, after watching one of his performances live in a humble little bar in Cubao.
“I want to thank our lyricist, Tita Edith Gallardo, and our composer, Moy Ortiz, for this beautiful song. Our producer, Tita Margot Gallardo, for being so patient with me during recording. Vicor Music, and Tita MG Mozo, for the trust you guys gave me kahit hindi ako sigurado sa sarili ko bilang singer, to everyone who worked tirelessly 25 years ago para masiguradong makarating itong awitin na ito sa maraming tao.
"And more importantly, thank you to the fans who made this song their own. Thank you for making this song a part of your lives as much as it is mine. Pagdating Ng Panahon (25 years later) is now available on all streaming platforms.”

After holding a successful homecoming concert Being Ice Live! last February and more recently in Cebu with his fellow Fire & Ice Music artists earlier this month, Ice continues to make people fall deeper in love with OPM with each performance. In a previous post, he showed his appreciation for those who supported his journey as an artist through the years, writing, “25 years later, nandito pa rin kayo. Thank you for growing with me.”
"Pagdating ng Panahon (25 Years Later)" is now available for streaming on all music platforms online.
