Filipino-British singer-songwriter beabadoobee has released her fourth studio album, "Pylon," channeling a range of emotions into a rock-leaning record.
Released last September 18, "Pylon" arrives two years after the singer's previous album, the United Kingdom chart-topping "This Is How Tomorrow Moves."
The new album is "a tannic rock record that is, at various points, angry, lonesome, ecstatic, depressed and deeply, pathologically in love," according to a press release.
The album's release was heralded by the new single "Write Me A Letter," an indie-rock track that the singer, whose real name is Beatrice Laus, created with longtime collaborators and labelmates Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975.
The song is about "seeing my fault in situations, but also admitting things that I would be too embarrassed to say out loud," Laus said in a statement.
She shared that she wrote the songs from the 14-track album while "on tour or between tours because I had to understand what was going on in my head."
"It’s this idea of letting go and accepting change. When I was on tour, I was yearning for something, and it made me think: How do I make myself feel comfortable? What does it mean to grow up? I was just missing how things were," she shared.
The album also features previously released singles "Switchblade," "Memories" and "Sun Has Set."

It also features contributions from artists that Laus said she had dreamed of collaborating with, including Hayley Williams, Turnstile singer Brendan Yates, Pinegrove’s Evan Stephens Hall, Deftones’ Chino Moreno and Title Fight’s Shane Moran.
Laus is set to kick off her "The Powerlines Tour" in October.
