Although Gloria (Julia Montes) has shown nothing but kindness to their family and neighbors during the days she has lived with them, Betchay (Irma Adlawan) still hasn't warmed up to her yet.
Upon seeing Gloria and their neighbors busy doing the laundry together and cleaning their compound at the same time as she heads out of their house to go to work, she assertively asked them what all the fuss is about.
Aling Diday (Diana Opilac) approaches her and shares how good and kind Gloria is, especially for encouraging everyone in Paraiso to keep their surroundings clean and orderly. Elton (Lito Camo) seconds this, describing Gloria as "hulog ng langit" or heaven-sent, for inspiring them to improve their surroundings and keep them well-maintained to protect everyone from illnesses caused by rats and mosquitoes.
But Betchay warns them against putting too much faith in Gloria, claiming that she might only be fooling them since she doesn’t know anything. She even suggests that Gloria might borrow money from them, refuse to pay it back, and eventually run off since she’s a criminal.
Mameng (Ces Quesada) and Rudy (Joey Marquez) call Betchay out for her rudeness, reminding her that they aren’t forcing her to believe in Gloria the way they do. As she leaves, Betchay mutters that she has been on her own for a long time and that talking to them won’t make her any richer. Aling Diday then urges everyone to simply leave Betchay alone and continue with what they’re doing.
Gabo (Coco Martin) checks on Gloria and apologizes for his stepmother’s behavior. Gloria assures him that she’s fine and tells him to just let Betchay be.
Meanwhile, Betchay continues to speak ill against Gloria on her way to work, saying that she's trying too hard to show off. Gloria has barely arrived, yet she already wants everyone in Paraiso to follow her every suggestion.
Even though she's mad at Gloria and isn't keen to go along with her suggestion, Betchay realizes that it's actually a good idea. Thus, she decides to apply it at the bar where she works to increase their earnings. She's thinking of cleaning up the place—but in her own way and definition.
